Like A Grown Up

I knit on the baby blanket up until Thursday when I had a massage. My elbows/arms had been bothering me quite a bit. Cotton has no stretch so it’s a little tough on the body. So I haven’t been working on it since then. I’ll pick it back up tonight and get it finished.

I started a new project (surprise!) but am about to put it aside until our next trip. It’s round and round dull knitting from here on out. The pattern is called Nuvem and eventually it will be Mom’s. She asked me quite a while ago for “one of those rectangle things” and this will be close enough. I’ve had the yarn for quite a while, but finally decided it was time to start.

I finally brought the wheel back out today and am almost done with the first half of this braid. I didn’t plan to spin it thin, but that’s what it wants to do so that’s what I’m doing.

It’s 80% Merino/20% Silk from Fiber Optic, and it’s a joy to spin.

I’ve also been working on the Sportmate Cowl, and it’s going to feel really good when it’s done to wear. The yarn is a cashmere blend and it’s YUMMY.

Went to Knit In at Gourmet Yarn last night for the first time in quite a while. Had a great time, met new people, saw old friends, and just in general enjoyed. I made a cake and brought home about half of it. I love being a grown up sometimes, because I can eat whatever I want whenever I want. Today I had cake for lunch.
