I had a pretty productive year. I finished 32 projects, spun 2.52 miles of yarn (so far), and knit at least 10.3 MILES of yarn – again so far. I’ve actually knitted more than that, but only counted things that are done. For the spinning, that’s the total of finished yarn. Considering they’re all 2 or 3 plies each, I’ve actually spun between 7.5 and 10 miles. I have to admit I’m pretty impressed when I look at the numbers that way.
Since last week I’ve finished my Spectra!

I made it wider than the pattern called for so I can wear it as a generous scarf or a smallish shawl. Very pleased with how it came out.

Thomas was a gift cat.

I realized I finished a couple of things but never posted pictures of them because they were gifts or because the pattern hadn’t released. I’m very proud to show off the December 2012 Six Sox pattern, No Diving Allowed.

And the present I knit for Mom from the hand spun Dreamweaver Alpacas, Pogona by Stephen West.

In honor of finishing stuff, and because yesterday was my birthday, I cast on a new project this morning. Doesn’t look like much yet, but it will. It’s Coyote Trail by Romi Hill. I love her shawl designs, and have been itching to start this since it released a few days ago. Doesn’t look like much yet, but it will.

Had a lovely day yesterday. Knit, spun and knit most of the day away, then went to dinner with some friends. Came home, watched football, knit more, and went to bed. Tomorrow it’s back to work….
Love your Spectra, but then you knew I would!! Happy New Year!
