Started a new pair of socks with Mini Mochi. The pattern I chose wasn’t a good match. So, after getting a little way in:
I ripped them. They’ll be fraternal twin socks, same color way/dye lot, but they start at different points in the color run and I’m not re-winding and splicing.
I asked Gourmet to order me an Ott lamp a few days ago. It arrived yesterday about 15 minutes after we left the shop – no big surprise there. Margaret checked it for damage later – glad she did, the base was broken and leaking ballast. A new one is on it’s way. Hope it will be here by Saturday’s Knit In, but won’t hold my breath.
Restarted the Circle Sock pattern in some stash yarn, and it’s working much better. See?
I guess you probably can’t see much difference. The Mini Mochi is a very soft, very slightly twisted single. The Knit Picks Felici is a more traditional, tightly spun yarn. This pattern has you slipping several pair of stitchs for SEVEN rows. A little much for an almost unspun yarn. Hence my rip.
Nancy brought me a prezzie too. Made me laugh.
Yep – it’s a Pez candy dispenser on a keyring. And it’s a sheep. Gotta love it. And what’s a post without a gratuitous critter pic?
She was swinging her head up to give me a dirty look for interrupting her bath.
