First a big “Thank You” to all who have served or are currently serving in our armed forces. You are the reason we have the freedoms we do, and you are appreciated. Every day, not just the one set aside.
The regular Sunday blog post was pre-empted this week by a work trip to Kansas City. A trip for which my poor neck is still paying. We went up in a big assed rental truck. It was loud. It was uncomfortable. It sucked. We worked our butts off and still have more to do. And I got home just before midnight Monday morning. Oh well - lots of good overtime.
The really, really crappy part about the long trip though? The cab lights didn’t work, we did most of the drive after dark, so I just had to sit there. Not knit. It sucked. I have made progress on the Swing Coat though. Almost done with the skirt part, at which point I’ll flip it over and start working up the bodice.

I really like the modular construction. It lets me see progress as I’m making it.
Finished the Baby Surprise. The baby got here last Friday, so they won’t get it until Dad comes back to work Monday. Since she was only 5 pounds 10 ounces, I don’t think she’ll exactly outgrow it any time soon.

Also have been working on my Monkey socks out of Prism Saki in the Oklahoma colorway - the one that’s exclusive to Gourmet Yarn. I really want to finish them. Heck, I really want to finish lots of stuff, but don’t seem to have a whole lot of knitting time these days.

And Ghost Hunters is now on…so I’m going to knit at watch it. Happy Wednesday!

Gee, guess you’re going to have to get and pack one of those mini “miner’s lights’ you put on your head for reading, etc. in the dark!!! Maybe that’d be a good addition to the knitting bag. Can usually get them cheap in gadget places and catalogues.
