Sunday, May 31st, 2009I want to go back to school. Medical school. So I can start offering the service Dr George Tiller offered to desperate women. Because some fucking coward murdered him this morning.
Do people *really* believe the crap the anti crowd puts out that every woman who has an abortion just goes out and has sex and uses abortion as her birth control? That a woman could carry a fetus for *months* and then suddenly at 6 or 7 months go “oh, never mind” and just go get rid of it? Get a grip. Those late term procedures are very rare. The vast, vast majority of them were done when the fetus was found to have some sort of abnormality that was incompatible with life, or was guaranteed to have a short, painful life after birth. Know why Dr Tiller was usually busy? Because he was one of the very few Doctors in the country brave enough to offer the service. And he paid for it. With his life. In church. In front of his congregation and his wife.
Have you ever read the accounts from clinic workers about the protesters who come in as patients? They’re “different”. They really aren’t like those “sluts” in the waiting room. Oh, and sneak me in and out the back door because they really can’t see me. And the next day they’re back out on the picket lines. The people in the clinics still treat them with respect and care. And even though they deserve to have their pictures plastered all over the place, the professionals at the clinic respect their rights and never identify them.
Bah! People just SUCK.
