Slacker
Tuesday, March 24th, 2009I’m really not, even if I haven’t posted in over 3 weeks. Sheesh.
We went to Bella Vista this last weekend, and I took Monday off so we wouldn’t be rushed. Had a great time, and it was nice to have my memory of how much I like Beverly and Bill - the owners - confirmed. Plus the place is gorgeous. Fellow knitters, we need to plan a getaway next January or February. The Inn at Bella Vista if you’re interested.
So - other than the end weaving and the zipper, the BPT is finished. I bound it off as we were passing through Fayetteville, almost there.

That little test hood I knit the other day? I decided with all the cables up the side and stuff I would just do the bind off and call it good. There are cables that split and intersect at the armpit. They then continue up the underside of the arm. They won’t be seen that much, but who cares.

These have been in the works for a while, but they’re finally far enough along to be sure they’re going to stick this time. I’ve started this yarn twice and ripped, but am finally happy with what I’m doing. Simple old socks. For Mom of course.

And I started the Carnival Top out of the TyDy I got in Tulsa last summer. Cute - but I think it’s going to be heavy. We’ll see how it turns out. You knit a garter “skirt” that’s flared at the bottom with short rows, then pick up around the top and do the bodice of the sweater. Simple simple to knit, and I like the colors and the feel. I hope it keeps it’s shape.

One more:

So that’s it. Not a slacker at anything but blogging, really.
