How To Sunburn Your Belly
Monday, December 31st, 2007First, you have to be absolutely certain you’re the queen bitch in your yard.

I promise - that dog is not mean. She was actually about to fall asleep like that.
Then you find a sunny patch out of the wind and a buddy to watch your back.

And then you proceed to have a major nap attack.

As does your buddy - who’s supposed to have your six.

Yes, I’m crazy about them.
I knit furiously on the baby blanket this weekend. It’s actually pretty nice. I wound up going with a rectangle. Seems most blankies are about a 1:1.25 ratio, so that’s what I went for. Increased at the beginning of each row until I was happy with the narrow side width, then continued increasing one side while decreasing on the other. When the long side looked right, I started decreasing at the beginning of each row and now it’s narrowing down to the final corner.

Actually, I worked about 3 ridges even at each corner so they’ll all round nicely. I cast on 4 stitches to start and will bind off with four to go.

It’s very soft and pretty and I think they’ll like it. Last I heard they were headed for the Dr and supposedly they were going to induce her today.
I’m just taking socks on this trip. DH reminded me I shouldn’t actually *finish* any while at my Mothers, or I won’t get home with them. He’s got a good point. Any that I finish before we hit their place are staying in the suitcase. End of story.
I don’t plan to blog while we’re gone, even though Mom has a perfectly good camera and computer. So - Happy New Year everyone! Go Pokes (up 21-3 right now) and Boomer Sooner!!!
