It’s That Book Thing

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

I have in my possession Harry Potter 5 and 6.  I guess I should get on the list for 7.  Here’s the sad part - the really BIG question in 7?  I know the answer.  I don’t know the details, because I haven’t read it and I’ve heeded spoiler alerts.  But the lady next to me at the baseball game told her neighbor.  And I heard.  But I don’t want to talk about it because I haven’t read it yet.

So yes, there has been a little knitting.  The Jaywalkers are about to start into the pattern again.  The VLT Sampler is growing.  No pictures.  Not yet.  Right now there’s reading to be done.

But I’ve got to tell you this.  Those Blast Ended Skrewts from a couple of books ago?  You know, those slightly amusing, adolescent-appealing creatures you kind of tried to make a mental image of, then just shook your head and went on?  They take on a whole new, horrifying, all-too-real possibility once you’ve been subjected to survived endured done the whole colonoscopy prep thing.  They just aren’t so amusing any more.

I wonder if that was deliberate?
