Knit Addict

Okay, what I said was actually a little more colorful.

Anyone who has seen a stockinette WIP of mine knows that I like markers. I hang them off my knitting at the drop of a hat. Or stitch. Whatever. Actually, I like to use them to make sure everything is the same length. You know - the fronts the same length as the back, the sleeves the same length, or my socks the same length. It’s just one of those anal little things about me.

So what’s the problem? Well, it’s the back of this shell.

Those markers are supposed to be placed (working from either side) at 7 1/2 inches, then 3 1/2 inches past that, then another 7 1/2 inches. Okay, the last marker is redundant because that’s where you start the decreasing, but I’m just…well…anal.

So - I still don’t know what I did, but apparently I forgot where I was in the process. My sweater is about 4 inches wider than it’s supposed to be. So…I get to rip a sleeve. Or actually half a sleeve since you knit it cuff to cuff.

Sigh.
