The Joy Of Promiscuity
Monday, April 13th, 2009One of the good things about being incapable of sticking to any single knitting project at one time is
What?
You thought -Oh!
Joke’s on you then. I’m talking knitting promiscuiously. I’m pretty dull these days.
So - the joy part. Every once in a while things just come together with projects and you wind up finishing things. Plural things. On the same day. Kind of like yesterday.
After working half a day and going to eat breakfast, we came home and settled in to watch baseball (Cards at 5-2, whoo hoo!) and golf. First on the list? The Undulating Waves scarf.

I wore it today, and it’s amazing how having the back of your neck toasty can make your whole self warm. Going to have to remember that. Here’s a little closer look at the beading.

Up next was the Carnival Top. It’s been sitting just waiting for the sleeves to be set for over a week. We all know how much I love sewing….but I did it yesterday. The pattern calls for buttons up the garter in the center, but I’m not sure I’ll add them. What do you think?

And finally - drumroll please - the never freaking ending Claudia socks for Mom. This is the third pair I started with the yarn. Wound up going with plain old stockinette. They feel really good, but as much blue dye as I got on my hands while knitting, I suspect they need a ton of rinsing.

They’re actually quite a lot darker than the picture, but you know how flashes are.
Speaking of dye, the red in the Heather the scarf is made of ran too. I finally gave up on getting it all out. Since it’s hand wash anyway I’ll just be sure to not wear it in the rain.
Now, what to work on next…..
