Knit Addict

Last night I finished my Okie Monkeys.  They’re a little big, but they’ll work.

Then today - can I have a drumroll please?  And are you sitting down?

Today I finally sucked it up and put the zipper in my BPT.

For a knitter who will dive into anything, I sure put this off long enough.  And yes, it was tedious.  Yes, I spent the entire afternoon working on it.  But look!

A zipper that zips like it’s supposed to!  And it looks good!

I think I need to tack the inside down to neaten the thing up, but I’ve had all of sewing thread and needle I can take today.

Whoo hoo!!!

I’m battling a bit of startitis, if you can believe it.  I have some yarn (no, really, I do - and I swear the stuff multiplies somehow) that I think wants to be a Vernal Equinox (Ravelry link, login required).   The only thing I’m unsure about is whether the pattern will get lost in the color variations.

I’ve also got a top down, seamless, collar-included cardi cooking in my brain.  I got some gorgeous Mushishi from GYC a few days ago and it’s burning a hole in my stash.

We’ll see.  Short week at work, trip to Vegas for the weekend.  I’m looking forward to it.  For those of you going somewhere, safe travels.  For those staying home, I hope you have a warm, safe, enjoyable holiday.
