Things and Stuff
Sunday, February 10th, 2008We’ve had a great couple of days. Yesterday was fun, and today has been a wonderful, relaxing sort of day. We’ve ate, chattered, knit, ate, napped, knit - and we even knit a little.
And done a little dog loving.

The sample glove for class is done. I’m not going to finish the other one till after class, because I’ll use it for demo.

One good thing about a class and a sample is you can show what not to do as well as what to do.

Like dork up an increase so you have a little hole where you made it. They’re fun.
Some time in the last 8 or 9 years I knit this sweater.

It’s out of Artful Yarns Jazz, which is discontinued. It’s a 50/50 wool/alpaca blend. I love shawl collars, and this one is warm and soft. I didn’t even put buttons on the thing.

And finally - if I want to go to the Clapotis Tea (you’ll need to scroll a bit to find the right paragraph), I have to at least be working on a Clapotis. So…I started one yesterday.

It’s from Mountain Colors Merino Ribbon from stash. I’ll have to pay attention to how much I have left because I’ve got about 50 yards less than the pattern multiplied out to. I know how much (2 oz) the increase section took, so I can make sure to start the decreases at the right time.

I did make the mistake of doing the first couple of drops before I had enough coffee this morning, and wound up having to rip a few rows. Such is knitting.
