Done!
Sunday, July 8th, 2007So, it’s that contest entry thing.
It goes something like this:
Swatch. Knit. Measure. Curse.
Rip.
Knit. Knit. Knit.
Measure.
Knit. Knit.
Measure.
Knit.
Cut.
Knit. Knit. Knit.
Cut.
Knit. Knit. Knit.
Cut.
Try on (first opportunity).
Curse.
Rip. Rip. Rip.
Knit. Try on. Knit. Knit. Try on.
Knit. Knit. Knit. Knit.
Try on. Knit. Try on. Knit.
Try on. Crow a bit.
Weave in ends. Block. Take a picture that gives a hint.

So…Whew!
Have ripped the mistake on the back of the green shell, reknit that sleeve, and knit the left front.

And have made progress on the socks that are also part of the June UFO. Yes, I know it’s mid July.

Murfoo just hangs out.

On a good note, the new food is absolutely having an effect on the cat. This weekend I’ve been seeing the odd, pretty, gold/orange/green irises of Squeeks eyes for the first time in months. She’s drinking and urinating like a normal cat, not like a whole pack of them in one little body. Still need a few more days on the food before drawing blood for a fructosamine, but I’m very hopeful we won’t have to do shots.
And finally the Mystery Stole 3. I’m only on about row 55, so am way behind. The contest entry has kind of taken all of my knitting time.

It just tugged and patted it onto the carpet, so of course it’s not even.
And if you’re actually still with me, a piece of domestic advice for you to file away: The clothes dryer works much, much better if you actually turn it on.
